Arabescato Cervaiole is a classic white marble quarried in the historic marble district of Carrara, Italy. The stone displays a uniform white background crossed by subtle, soft veining that adds depth without overwhelming the surface. Arabescato Cervaiole marble: the complete guide
Overview
Arabescato Cervaiole is one of the most famous arabescato marbles of the Apuan Alps: a white background with grey veins that form arabesques. A rare marble with an unmistakable character.
History and origin
It is quarried at the Cervaiole quarry on Monte Altissimo, on the Versilia side of the Apuan Alps: an area linked to the history of sculpture, where marbles of great quality were already sought in the Renaissance. The high altitude and irregular beds keep production limited. Marmi di Carrara offers it among its exclusive materials.
Appearance
A bright white background broken by light to dark grey veins that interweave into sinuous, arabesque-like patterns. Unlike the Calacattas, the veining is denser and "brecciated", with white fragments enclosed by grey. The effect is dynamic and highly decorative.
Uses
Perfect for bathroom cladding, book-matched walls, kitchen tops and splashbacks, tables, fireplaces, washbasins and floors of prestigious rooms. Its intense veining makes it the star: it is best paired with plain surfaces.
Care and maintenance
Clean with neutral products, never with acids or abrasives. Stain-proofing is recommended on tops and floors. If acids dull the polish, it can be restored professionally.
