Like every granite, it is supplied as raw blocks, gangsaw slabs in 2 and 3 cm and cut-to-size pieces made in our Carrara plants. Recommended finishes: polished, honed, flamed, bush-hammered, leathered. Typical applications: kitchen worktops, exterior cladding and paving, stairs, monuments, high-traffic floors.
Availability varies with the quarry campaigns: before quoting we check current stock, block sizes and the selection grade, and we send photos of the actual slabs. Price and transport are confirmed by our technical office within one working day.
Emerald Pearl Granite: the complete guide
Overview
Emerald Pearl Granite is a dark stone, from anthracite grey to black, with crystals that shimmer with emerald green reflections. It is chosen for highly durable surfaces that also have a precious effect.
History and origin
It is a Norwegian larvikite, a close relative of Blue Pearl, sold as granite because of its hardness and behaviour. Its distinctive feature is its darker shade, which makes the green flashes of the feldspars stand out. It has been used for decades in kitchens, public venues and façade cladding. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The background is dark grey tending towards black, with large, clearly visible crystals. The green, sometimes bluish reflections appear as you move in front of the slab and are more intense in grazing light. The pattern is fairly consistent; polishing is the finish that best brings out the iridescence, while matt finishes make the stone more graphic and understated.
Uses
Suitable for kitchen worktops, islands, bathroom tops, floors, stairs and exterior cladding. Also widely used for bar and shop counters, where durability and visual impact are required.
Care and maintenance
Water with a neutral detergent and a microfibre cloth are all it takes to keep it shiny. Limescale shows on the dark background: in the bathroom it is best to dry after use. An occasional protective treatment helps repel oils and grease.
