Harzer Dolomit is a German limestone quarried in the Harz region of Germany, long traded under the alternative names Sudharz and Sudharz-Marmor. The stone presents a warm beige and cream background with a fine, generally uniform grain and soft, cloudy veining that gives interiors a calm, classical character. Its sober appearance makes it suitable for flooring, wall cladding, staircases, bathroom surfaces and light-duty kitchen tops, as well as exterior details in mild climates. Polished, honed, brushed or sandblasted finishes all enhance its tonal depth. Marmi di Carrara supplies Harzer Dolomit as blocks, slabs in 2 and 3 cm and cut-to-size pieces, with photos of the actual slabs sent before purchase.
