Statuario Carrara marble
The purest and brightest marble of the Apuan Alps: a compact white ground, fine grain and bold grey veins. The marble of classical sculpture and of the most prestigious projects.
Geologie und technische Daten
Fine-grained (saccharoidal) metamorphic limestone from the Torano and Fantiscritti basins, formed from Triassic-Jurassic carbonate sediments. Typical density 2,700 kg/m³, water absorption 0.1-0.2%.
Verwendung
Premium interior walls and floors, bathrooms, tops and basins, stairs, carved elements, bookmatched feature walls. Not for exteriors or acids without protection.

Extra and First selections based on ground whiteness and vein sharpness; 2 and 3 cm polished or honed slabs, blocks on request.

Excellence band: indicative 500-1,000 €/m² for 2 cm polished slabs, excl. VAT, ex works Carrara.
