Venatino marble
White marble with fine, dense and regular grey veining: livelier than Bianco Carrara and more delicate than Venato. Quarried in our Fondone quarries at Forno di Massa.
Geologie und technische Daten
Fine-grained marble of the Apuan Alps, Fondone basin (upper Frigido valley); light white-grey ground with thin grey veins due to pyrite and accessory minerals. Typical density 2,700 kg/m³, water absorption 0.1-0.2%.
Verwendung
Interior floors and walls, bathrooms, stairs, honed kitchens, tiles and cut-to-size work; suited to large surfaces with a uniform pattern.
Sortierungen und Formate
Selected by fineness and regularity of the veining; 2 and 3 cm polished or honed slabs, tiles, blocks on request.
Richtpreis
Marble band: indicative 80-170 €/m² for 2 cm polished slabs, excl. VAT, ex works Carrara.
