Aegean Bordeaux is a striking red marble quarried in Turkey. The stone shows a deep red base colour with subtle white to pink veining and a fine to medium granular texture that can appear slightly schistose in places. Its vivid hue and elegant veining make it ideal for high‑impact applications such as hotel lobbies, luxury residential bathrooms, and upscale restaurant interiors. Polished, honed or brushed finishes all enhance its natural beauty, while a matte finish can soften the intensity. Marmi di Carrara supplies Aegean Bordeaux in 2‑3 cm thick blocks and slabs, cut‑to‑size on request, and provides real‑time photos of each slab before purchase.

Ege Bordo: complete guide
Overview
Ege Bordo is a burgundy-red Turkish marble with clearly visible white veins. It is chosen for elegant spaces in warm tones, in a classic or contemporary style.
History and origin
It is a marble of Turkish origin whose name recalls the colour burgundy; it is widely available on the international market in slabs and tiles. It is used mainly indoors, often combined with light marbles for decorated floors. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The background is dark red tending towards burgundy, crossed by white and pinkish veins, fine or net-like. The intensity of the red and the density of the veins vary from slab to slab. Polished, it has a deep, glossy colour; honed, it looks darker and velvety.
Uses
Recommended for interior floors, cladding, bathroom tops, shelves, fireplaces and decorations. Excellent for bands, borders and inserts in light marble floors. Not suitable for exteriors or kitchen worktops.
Care and maintenance
Neutral detergents and soft cloths; acid attacks leave very visible dull marks on reds. Protect with an impregnating sealer and marble wax. Restore the polish when necessary.
