Banco DE Baixo is a white limestone quarried in Portugal, appreciated for its pale, uniform background that ranges from white to soft beige. Its calciclastic, bioclastic structure gives the stone a fine, organogenic grain with delicate tonal variations rather than pronounced veining, making it a calm and versatile material for both classical and contemporary projects. Typical applications include flooring, wall cladding, façades, stairs and bathroom surfaces. Banco DE Baixo limestone responds well to honed, polished, brushed and sandblasted finishes, each enhancing its natural brightness. Marmi di Carrara supplies Banco DE Baixo as blocks, slabs in 2 and 3 cm thicknesses and cut-to-size pieces, with photos of the actual slabs provided before purchase.
