Filettato America, also known as Trani America, is an Italian limestone quarried in Italy, prized for its very fine grain and warm cream to creamy-pinkish background crossed by straight red veins that give facades and interiors a distinctive rhythm. The regular veining makes this beige stone particularly effective for wall cladding, flooring, columns, cornices and architectural details, in both classical and contemporary projects. It polishes well and also suits honed, brushed and bush-hammered finishes. Marmi di Carrara supplies Filettato America limestone as blocks, slabs 2/3 cm and cut-to-size elements, and sends photos of the actual slabs before purchase so buyers can approve the material.
