Jura Grau is a grey German marble, commercially a dense Jurassic stone quarried in Germany, appreciated for its even grey to grey-white background with subtle blue or beige undertones, reflected in the varieties Jura Graublau and Jura Graugelb. Fine fossils are scattered through the compact, uniform grain, giving the surface a quiet natural character without strong veining. It is widely used for flooring, wall cladding, facades, stairs, bathrooms and worktops. Honed and brushed finishes best express its matte, homogeneous look, while polished and sandblasted surfaces are also available. Marmi di Carrara supplies Jura Grau as blocks, slabs 2/3 cm and cut-to-size pieces, with photos of the actual slabs before purchase.
