Lioz Abancado is a Portuguese limestone belonging to the renowned Lioz family, quarried in Portugal and appreciated for centuries in architecture. It shows a cream to beige-rosy background with a fine microcrystalline grain and delicate darker veining that gives surfaces a calm, elegant movement. A compact, abundantly fossiliferous stone, it polishes well and suits flooring, wall cladding, stairs, vanity tops and decorative architectural elements. Preferred finishes include polished and honed, while brushed or sandblasted surfaces enhance its natural character for interiors and sheltered exterior applications. Marmi di Carrara supplies Lioz Abancado as blocks, slabs in 2 and 3 cm and cut-to-size pieces, with photos of the actual slabs sent before purchase.
