Lioz Pêro Pinheiro is a classic Portuguese limestone quarried around Pêro Pinheiro, near Sintra in Portugal, and long used in Lisbon's architecture. It shows a warm beige to cream background with a fine, fairly uniform grain, subtle darker veining and small fossil traces that give the surface a quiet, natural character. Thanks to its consistency, this limestone suits flooring, wall cladding, staircases, sills, masonry details and interior work. Polished, honed, brushed or sandblasted finishes all perform well on Lioz, depending on the project. Marmi di Carrara supplies Lioz Pêro Pinheiro as blocks, slabs 2 and 3 cm and cut-to-size pieces, with photos of the actual slabs before purchase.
