Vidraço DE Molianos Creme is a natural limestone from Portugal, characterized by a warm brown base with subtle white tones and a coarse, calciclastic texture. The stone displays a slightly oolitic structure and frequent bioclastic inclusions, giving it a rustic yet refined appearance. Its uniform colour and modest veining make it suitable for both interior and exterior applications, such as flooring, wall cladding, and decorative panels. Recommended finishes include honed, brushed, or light tumbled surfaces to highlight its natural grain. Marmi di Carrara supplies Vidraço DE Molianos Creme in 2‑3 cm thick blocks and slabs, offering cut‑to‑size options and real‑slab photographs before purchase.

Moleanos: complete guide
Overview
Moleanos is a light beige Portuguese limestone with a fine grain and uniform appearance. It is chosen for bright, understated floors and cladding, with a good balance between looks and cost.
History and origin
It comes from central Portugal, one of the most important areas in Europe for the production of ornamental limestones. It is widely exported and has been used for floors, façades, stairs and cladding in residential and commercial buildings. It is offered in several selections according to colour uniformity and the presence of small fossils. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The background is light beige or cream, with a fine grain and small speckles or barely visible fossils. The slabs are fairly consistent, although fine veins or slightly darker areas may appear. Honed, it looks soft and warm; brushed or sandblasted, it becomes more natural and slip-resistant.
Uses
It is suitable for interior floors, stairs, bathroom and wall cladding, and for façades or outdoor paving in climates that are not too harsh. It is not recommended for kitchen worktops because of its sensitivity to acids and stains. Outdoors, rough finishes and a water-repellent treatment are preferred.
Care and maintenance
Treat with a water- and oil-repellent protector after installation and renew it periodically. Clean with neutral detergents, avoiding limescale removers and acidic products. Wipe up wine, coffee or oil stains immediately.
