Ash Rose Granite: the complete guide
Overview
Ash Rose is a granite with a speckled light pink background, delicate and uniform in appearance. It is a choice for those who want a warm but soft tone with the performance of a granite.
History and origin
Ash Rose is a material found on the international market under an English trade name, which does not in itself indicate its origin. Light pink granites are traditionally used in construction, paving and funerary art. Availability and characteristics must be checked by batch. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The background is light pink, dotted with grey and dark grains that give a speckled effect. The grain is relatively regular, with moderate variation between slabs. Polishing gives a livelier tone, while flaming lightens it towards pinkish grey.
Uses
Suitable for floors, stairs, cladding, and kitchen and bathroom worktops. Outdoors it is suitable for paving, steps and street furniture with a flamed or bush-hammered finish. It is also widely used for memorials and headstones.
Care and maintenance
Neutral detergent and water for routine cleaning. Outdoors a water repellent limits dirt and deposits. In kitchens a periodic stain-proofing treatment is useful.
