Kershaw granite is a natural stone quarried in the United States, appreciated for its warm pink and rose colouring. Its coarse, large-grain texture shows consistent shades of pink and beige, punctuated by black and white minerals that give the surface a lively yet balanced appearance. Thanks to its robustness, this granite is well suited to kitchen countertops, flooring, staircases, facades and exterior cladding. It performs beautifully with polished, honed, flamed or bush-hammered finishes, indoors and out. Marmi di Carrara supplies Kershaw granite as blocks and slabs in 2 and 3 cm thicknesses, as well as cut-to-size pieces, and sends photos of the actual slabs before purchase.

Kershaw Granite: complete guide
Overview
Kershaw is a medium-grained pink-grey granite from South Carolina with a balanced colour. It is valued for cladding, monuments and paving that call for a warm but understated tone.
History and origin
Kershaw granite takes its name from the county of the same name in South Carolina, an area where granitic stones are quarried. In the United States it is used mainly in architecture and memorial work. On the international market it is available as slabs and bespoke pieces. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The light grey background is enlivened by pinkish feldspars and small black crystals distributed regularly. The overall effect is a muted pink, less intense than red granites. Variations between slabs are moderate; polishing makes the pink more noticeable, while flaming brings it closer to grey.
Uses
Suitable for façades, outdoor paving, stairs, monuments and plaques. Indoors it can be used for floors, kitchen worktops and bathrooms. Its neutral tone makes it easy to fit into contemporary settings too.
Care and maintenance
Clean with water and a neutral detergent; just avoid very aggressive or abrasive products on polished surfaces. A stain-proofing impregnator is recommended for kitchen and bathroom worktops.
