Forest Green marble: the complete guide

Overview

Forest Green (Rain Forest Green) is an Indian green marble with brown veins that recall branches and leaves. Natural and dramatic, it brings the forest indoors.

History and origin

It comes from India, a major producer of ornamental stones. The name Rain Forest describes the pattern of branches and trunks crossing the slabs. It is widely used for feature walls and bathrooms. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.

Appearance

A green background with brown and golden veins branching like trees. There is also a Forest Brown variant with a brown background.

Uses

Feature walls, bathrooms, table tops, receptions and cladding. Recommended for indoor use.

Care and maintenance

Clean with water and pH-neutral detergents, drying with a soft cloth; avoid acids, bleach and abrasive products. A water- and oil-repellent treatment after installation reduces staining and should be renewed periodically in busy areas. Professional honing and polishing remove scratches and dullness.
