Petrographic description
This limestone features red and pink veins and lenses set against a cream-beige background. The sample consists of micritic calcite crystals with partially rounded interclasts and fossil remnants cemented by a sparitic matrix, showing traces of iron oxides on discontinuous surfaces.
Tasçilar Crema Nuovo is a Limestone quarried in Turkey, catalogued in the Marmi di Carrara atlas under the international reference ICTRLS00056. Its dominant tone is red, with medium grain and a fossiliferous / veined texture.
Like every limestone, it is supplied as raw blocks, gangsaw slabs in 2 and 3 cm and cut-to-size pieces made in our Carrara plants.
