Alençon is a fine-grained granite originating from France, renowned for its subtle grey hue and delicate speckling. The stone displays a uniform grain with occasional fine veining, giving it an elegant, understated appearance. It is widely used in high-end architectural applications such as flooring, wall cladding, and countertops, where its durability and low maintenance are prized. Alençon responds beautifully to a range of finishes—from polished to honed and brushed—each enhancing its natural texture. Marmi di Carrara supplies this French granite in blocks, 2–3 cm slabs, and cut-to-size pieces, and provides detailed photographs of actual slabs before purchase to ensure complete confidence in your selection.
