Rosa Porrino is a vibrant pink to rose granite quarried in Spain, known for its striking colour and medium‑to‑thick granular texture. The stone displays an irregular fracture pattern and a subtle biotite sparkle that adds depth to its surface. Its uniform grain and natural veining make it ideal for both interior and exterior applications such as flooring, wall cladding, countertops, and outdoor paving. Suitable finishes include polished for a high‑gloss look or honed for a softer matte appearance. Marmi di Carrara supplies Rosa Porrino in blocks and 2‑3 cm slabs, cut‑to‑size, with real‑project photos available before purchase.

Rosa Porriño Granite: the complete guide
Overview
Rosa Porriño Granite is a medium-grained pink granite, with evenly distributed grey and black crystals. It is chosen for paving, façades and street furniture that must stand the test of time.
History and origin
It comes from Galicia, in Spain, and is one of the best-known pink granites in Europe. For many years it has been used in squares, pavements, building cladding and monuments, thanks to its durability and good availability. It lends itself to heavy-duty fabrication such as kerbs, steps and setts. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The background is salmon pink, with pinkish feldspars, translucent grey quartz and small black micas. The grain is uniform and variation between slabs limited, making it suitable for large surfaces. Polished intensifies the pink, while flamed and bush-hammered finishes lighten it towards a greyish pink.
Uses
Perfect for outdoor paving, stairs, façades, kerbs, fountains and street furniture, but also for kitchen worktops and bathrooms. It withstands frost and heavy traffic well, both pedestrian and vehicular with suitable thicknesses.
Care and maintenance
Minimal maintenance: water and a neutral detergent indoors, periodic washing outdoors. On kitchen worktops an impregnator helps prevent oil marks. Rough finishes outdoors keep their original appearance for many years.
