Kashmir Bahia is a white granite from Brazil, petrographically described as a medium-grained gneiss with a sound, unaltered surface. The stone shows a bright white background of even, medium grain, enlivened by scattered red garnet spots that give it a clean yet lively character. This Brazilian granite is well suited to kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, flooring, wall cladding and stairs, in both residential and commercial settings. Polished, honed and flamed finishes are all appropriate, depending on the desired effect. Marmi di Carrara supplies Kashmir Bahia as blocks, slabs in 2 and 3 cm thicknesses and cut-to-size pieces, and provides photos of the actual slabs before purchase so buyers can approve the exact material.
